Skate Mobbsters, Mike and Chas, helped us out in showcasing this skate spot. Found beneath the streets of SLO, this tunnel is home to a bunch of crazy art, and if you know where this is, we're sure you agree.
Deep dark. I first heard of this place in highschool second hand from a buddy who had heard an interview of "Party Boy"...the dude from Jackass always in a thong who happened to grow up in SLO. I was an "investigative journalist" for Morro Bay High newspaper at the time so I got together a crew and hunted down deep dark. Found it, journeyed it out to the other end using flash lights and skateboards to lay on for the tight part and took a bunch of photos of the graf and interesting people I ran into down there and wrote a fat article. got a center piece two page spread and a lot of students and teachers came up to me and told me they liked it. Never wrote another piece and two years later I get voted "most likely to be a journalist" for the year book so I figure some people really digged deep dark. I don't know if I'd call this a skatespot unless your less then 5ft tall or don't mind a cobwig but if you haven't already you should make the journey to the end. Forget the skateboarding kiddies, urban spelunking...it's the new craze for all the hipsters.
