TODAY'S FEATURED ARTIST

K'naan Troubadour grew up in Somalia, and later moved to Toronto to flee the Soamli Civil War in 1991. He began his career rapping to the greats before he could even speak english. After leaving on the last commercial flight out of the country at age 13, K'naan perfected his craft by studying the works of Rakim and Bob Marley while living in Canada. His first album released, 'The Dusty Foot Philosopher', earned props for it's raps and after listening to 'Troubadour', K'naan's newest project, we think it will do the same.

His mission is more than just a grasp for fame and fortune, K'naan says that "my long term goal is to use whatever fame I get to help change the situation in my region...not to own a clothing line like some of my rap peers."

Scope the Skate Mobb playlist for 'Somalia' & 'ABCs' to hear what the buzz is about.
